Witness appeal after ‘white taxi’ hit-and-run incident in Cheltenham

Police are seeking witnesses following a hit-and-run incident involving a pedestrian and a car, believed to be a white taxi, in Cheltenham.


The collision occurred around 10.20am Thursday 25 July, on Amberley Road, St Marks.

The driver of the vehicle failed to stop to check on the pedestrian, a man in his 60s, who later reported neck and elbow pain and sought medical attention.


Despite initial investigations, a taxi stopped in the area was not connected to the incident.

Authorities are urging the driver involved to come forward and provide an account of the event.


They are also appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or has relevant dashcam footage to contact them. Information can be submitted to the police online by quoting incident number 104 of 25 July.
