Veezu renews support for Welsh grassroots rugby club
Private hire taxi firm Veezu has confirmed the renewal of its sponsorship deal with New Panteg RFC, a Pontypool-based rugby club that plays a key role in Welsh rugby development. New Panteg RFC is part of the Welsh Rugby Union and acts as a feeder club for the Newport Gwent Dragons.
The renewed partnership sees Veezu providing £1,000 to the club, which will go towards purchasing new post-protectors. This is part of the company’s continued investment in grassroots sports across Wales, demonstrating its commitment to supporting local communities.
This backing comes through Veezu’s ‘Funded by Veezu’ initiative, designed to support a range of community projects across the country. The programme aims to make a lasting difference in the areas where the company operates, with New Panteg RFC being one of the latest beneficiaries of this support.
This renewed sponsorship strengthens the ongoing relationship between Veezu and the local sports community in Pontypool.
Nathan Bowles, Chief Executive of Veezu, said: “We’re proud to continue our sponsorship of New Panteg RFC as part of our Funded by Veezu initiative. Supporting grassroots sports is central to our commitment to local communities, and we’re excited to help the club with the donation of new post-protectors this season. We look forward to seeing the team thrive both on and off the field, and we’re excited to be part of their journey.”
Gareth Taylor, chairman for New Panteg RFC, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Veezu for their continued support and generous sponsorship of New Panteg RFC. The donation of the new post-protectors this season is a fantastic for the club, and it’s partnerships like this that allow us to maintain and improve our facilities for players and supporters alike.
“We’re excited to continue this journey together and look forward to a successful season ahead.”
