Veezu hits HUGE milestone with one million app downloads in 2024

Updated: 1 day ago

Veezu, a leading name in the UK’s taxi and private hire vehicle sector, has announced a remarkable milestone—over one million downloads of its mobile app in 2024.

Operating across more than 50 licensing authorities, Veezu has introduced its app to cities, towns, and rural areas alike, including regions such as Yorkshire, Merseyside, the Midlands, South Wales, the South West, the Home Counties, and Cambridgeshire.

The app provides flexible transport options for business and leisure travel. Passengers can choose to pay by cash or card, simplifying the booking process. Corporate clients benefit from a system that enables employees to book rides directly, with costs billed to company accounts—removing the hassle of personal reimbursements.

Since its launch in 2013 in Wales, Veezu has grown into a UK tech success story, blending innovation with community support. The company’s charitable initiatives reflect its commitment to giving back. In Wales, every December app booking supports Childline Cymru. In Cambridge, 2024 bookings contribute to the East Anglia Air Ambulance. A nationwide campaign in October raised funds for cerebral palsy charities.

Nathan Bowles, CEO of Veezu, said: “We are incredibly proud to reach one million app downloads this year. This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation and making travel as convenient as possible for passengers. We’ve built a booking system that adapts to the needs of all our users by harnessing our strong tech platform, focus on user experience and our significant footprint.

“The growing reach of our app and our operations is buoyed not only by the continued positive reception to our app but by the appetite in the market for prebooked and on-demand PHV travel solutions across the breadth of the UK.”
