Veezu, one the UK's biggest taxi and private hire technology platforms, is celebrating its sixth year of sponsoring the S8 & Lowedges Festival.

The event will be held at the Bowshaw Showground on 11 August, offering a day packed with activities and entertainment.

To make the festival accessible for all, Veezu is providing complimentary return journeys from noon to 5.30pm. Their 22-seater minibuses will run every 30 minutes, ensuring residents can easily attend the festivities.

The festival is making a strong comeback after the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and a break in 2023. Since its inception in 2008, the Bowshaw Showground event has grown into a significant attraction, drawing thousands of visitors each year.

Festival-goers can look forward to a variety of attractions. These include international food stalls, a funfair, classic vehicle displays, dog shows, a farmers market, and a car boot sale. Additionally, there will be Viking and Escafeld re-enactments, live performances, and a birds of prey exhibition.

The sponsorship is part of Veezu’s Community Support Initiative, aimed at fostering and supporting local communities across the UK. By facilitating easy access to the festival, Veezu is helping to bring people together for a day of enjoyment and community spirit.

Sacha Skinner, Regional Marketing Manager at Veezu, said: “Veezu is thrilled to be a part of S8 & Lowedges Festival, an event that we’ve proudly supported for many years now. By providing free transport to and from the festival, we aim to make it easier for everyone to attend and enjoy all the wonderful activities planned, alleviating any travel issues some may face with the ongoing cost of living crisis.”
