'Uber Medics' launching offering 25% discounted fares for NHS staff and care home organisations

Uber Technologies Inc. have announced the launch date of their latest service, 'Uber Medics', offering NHS staff and care home organisations 25 per cent discount on rides.

The ride-hailing firm has said the new service is a non-profit business model which will run until mid-July.

In a statement announcing the news, the company has assured any drivers completing these trips will receive the same fares as they would on normal Uber fares, which Uber will subsidise.

Uber Medics will be available for NHS staff with a valid National Health Service email address as of 29 April.
