Uber has announced the latest addition to its 'Go Anywhere' series, unveiling the Uber Safari experience in Cape Town, South Africa.

This limited-time offering allows users to book a day trip to Aquila Private Game Reserve directly through the Uber app, making one of Africa's most iconic wildlife experiences just a tap away.

The service, available until the end of January, provides Cape Town residents and visitors the opportunity to see the famed "big five"—lions, elephants, buffalos, cheetahs, and rhinos. Partnering with Aquila, Uber promises a day out in the wild, complete with transport to and from the game reserve.

The Uber Safari package includes collection in Cape Town in an Uber Safari-branded vehicle, with passengers driven out of the urban hub into the reserve. Once at Aquila, guests are greeted with a welcome toast and lunch. They then board a traditional safari vehicle led by guides, who help maximise chances of spotting the big five. Post-drive, participants are given time to enjoy the scenery of Aquila’s grounds before returning to the city.

This partnership with Aquila, a leading wildlife conservancy, also contributes to the reserve's conservation initiatives. Each booking through Uber supports efforts to protect endangered species and maintain South Africa's biodiversity.

Uber Safari is available for booking in the Uber app from 2 October, with trips running on Fridays and Saturdays until the end of January. The experience, costing $200, accommodates up to four guests and requires reservations 90 days to 24 hours in advance.

Johan van Schalkwyk, Commercial Officer of Aquila Collection, said: “We’re excited to partner with Uber to extend our bucket list wildlife experiences to their customers.

“Uber Safari allows folks to book and enjoy an unforgettable day at Aquila, where they’ll get to experience the Big 5 in an easy and luxurious way. It’s the perfect combination of modern convenience and natural beauty, all while supporting wildlife conservation efforts that are vital to preserving South Africa’s biodiversity.”
