A Manchester licensed private hire driver working on the ride-sharing app Uber, has been reported for a number of offences after Motorway Police caught him parked on the hard shoulder of the EB M56 airport spur.
Posting on their Facebook page, NW Motorway Police, said: 'Manchester licensed private hire, under Uber banner, driver parked on hard shoulder of EB M56 airport spur watching pornographic material on mobile phone.
'Driver issued a TOR [Traffic Offence Report] for h/s offences and reported to Manchester Taxi licencing for offences including not wearing ID badge.'
Social media users couldn't help but use the opportunity to have a swipe at the driver with some very creative comments.
One reader, said: "Did you check his eyesight? You know what they say about someone who spends too much time........."
Another said: "I see them sitting there all the time regular. Obviously not broken down, just waiting for a fare."
Manchester Taxi and Private Hire Licensing will now have a decision to make - Fit and proper?
