Taxi queue jumpers knock man and woman unconscious during violent attack in Hull
Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man and a woman were violently assaulted outside Hull Paragon Interchange.
At 3.50am on Thursday 19 August, the victims were stood at the front of the line at the taxi rank, when another man went in front of them and tried to get in a taxi.
They engaged in a verbal altercation with the man and a group of people he was with. The man pulled the female victim’s hair and punched her, causing her to fall backwards and fall unconscious.
The male victim tried to defend her and was pulled on the floor by a woman from the group before being punched on the ground and knocked unconscious by another man.
The male victim suffered serious head injuries including a large wound to the back of his head, and cuts to his cheek. The female victim suffered scratches to her face.
The three people in the group are described as a man with short brown hair, wearing all black with a grey hood, another man wearing dark blue jeans and a grey t-shirt, and a woman with brown hair, wearing blue jeans, a brown shirt, and a black jacket with a bag on her right side.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to help with their investigation.
