Taxi passenger arrested in West Midlands after foot long machete found hidden in man’s trousers
A taxi passenger was arrested in the West Midlands after a foot long machete was found hidden in a man's trousers.
West Midlands Police's Force Response arrested the man earlier today in the Sparkbrook area after finding the weapon and cannabis concealed on the body of the man.
According to the police, the taxi driver had alerted his or her operator of the passenger, who in turn contacted the police. The taxi driver’s three passengers were searched and one was held in custody for being in possession of an offensive weapon and Class B drugs.
West Midlands Police shared the findings and a photo of the weapon on social media saying: "#Cteam stechford alerted by a taxi company that a driver had a passenger on board who was in possession of a large knife, taxi located and 3 passengers searched, 1 now in custody the weapon concealed in his trousers along with cannabis @SparkbrookWMP @WMPolice"
