Taxi driver suffers severe head injury in Colchester assault



Essex Police are investigating a serious assault that has left a taxi driver with critical head injuries in Colchester. The incident was reported in the early hours of Saturday 2 November.


According to the police, the victim, a man in his 40s, was found with significant injuries on Brinkley Grove Road at around 1.50am.

He has since been transported to hospital and is undergoing treatment for a fractured skull and a brain bleed.


Detectives are working to identify two male suspects believed to be connected to the incident. Both men are described as being slim, aged between 20 and 25, and standing between 5ft 5ins and 5ft 9ins in height.

Essex Police have made an urgent appeal for any information or footage that could aid the investigation. They are specifically seeking CCTV, dashcam, or other relevant evidence from the public.
