Taxi driver punched by road rage thug whilst dropping off passengers
A taxi driver was tailgated before being punched by a road rage thug whilst he dropped off a passenger.
The beleaguered 46-year-old taxi driver was dropping off his passenger in Wilson Street, Renfrew when the incident took place.
Police are now appealing for more information to find the man responsible for the attack on the cabbie. The man who is alleged to have punched the taxi driver was driving a white Ford Fiesta.
A Police Scotland spokesperson spoke to TaxiPoint, saying: "Police enquiries are continuing into a report of an assault on a taxi driver in Wilson Street, Renfrew around 10pm on Saturday 17 April.
“The 46 year-old man did not require hospital treatment.
“The man responsible for the attack was driving a white Ford Fiesta.
“Officers are urging any witnesses, any drivers with dash-cam footage or anyone with information that may assist their enquiry to contact Renfrew Police Office through 101 quoting reference 4535 of 17 April."
