Taxi collides with 85-year-old man at Middlesbrough hospital car park



Cleveland Police are appealing for information after an elderly man was injured in a collision with a taxi in Middlesbrough.


The incident occurred around 1:50pm on Wednesday 19 June, in the V3 car park of James Cook University Hospital, near the Endeavour Unit and adjacent to the A&E.

An 85-year-old male pedestrian was struck by a taxi. The driver assisted the man to his feet but departed without providing any details.


The elderly pedestrian sustained significant bruising to his hip and left arm, along with severe grazes.

Authorities are urging the driver to come forward by contacting them on 101. They also appeal to any witnesses to provide information to Cleveland Police, quoting event number SE24117710.
