TAXI BILKER APPEAL: Police release CCTV image after man bilks taxi driver fare worth £49

North Yorkshire Police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with an unpaid taxi fare in Malton.


The bilking incident occurred at around 1.40am on Sunday 27 October on North Road.

A man reportedly requested a taxi to Malton and asked the driver to drop him off on North Road. Upon arrival, the man allegedly fled the vehicle without paying the £49.20 fare.


Authorities are appealing for anyone who recognises the man or has relevant information to come forward.

They believe the individual may hold key details that could assist the ongoing investigation.
