SUPER PUMPED: THE BATTLE FOR UBER trailer released depicting Kalanick boardroom battles
Based on a true story. Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber is a film that depicts the roller-coaster ride of the controversial rideshare firm, Uber.
Highlighting the highs and lows of Silicon Valley the film stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Uma Thurman, and Kyle Chandler.
The new Showtime series is based on Mike Isaac’s bestselling book Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber, which concentrates largely on former Uber CEO, Travis Kalanick and battle with the boardroom.
The season pivots on Travis Kalanick (Gordon-Levitt), Uber's hard-charging CEO who was ultimately ousted in a boardroom coup, and his sometimes tumultuous relationship with his mentor Bill Gurley (Chandler), the plainspoken, Texan venture capitalist who bets his reputation on Uber's success - and then has to live with the consequences.
Thurman stars as Arianna Huffington, the businesswoman and co-founder of The Huffington Post, who was an Uber board member.
The series premieres on Sunday February 27 on SHOWTIME.
