Rental e-scooter drink-rider arrested after being involved in road traffic collision in Bristol
A rider of an e-scooter in Bristol has been arrested after they were found to be under the influence of alcohol whilst riding the electric powered vehicle.
The rider was involved in a road traffic collision which resulted in a roadside breathalyser test being performed.
The rider blew 75 on the police's device; the legal alcohol drink-drive limit is 35.
Officers for Avon & Somerset Police said the rider is now at risk of losing his driving licence for a year.
A spokesperson for Avon & Somerset Police Roads Policing team @ASPRoadSafety, said: "A reminder that you can be arrested for drink driving while using an electric scooter.
"This rider was involved in a road traffic collision on Weds evening in Bristol, blew 75 (legal limit 35) at the roadside and risks losing his licence for a year."
