Police seeking two women after bilking and assaulting taxi driver in Bournemouth

Police are investigating an incident in Bournemouth involving an assault on a taxi driver and an unpaid fare. Officers have released images of two women they want to identify in connection with the case.
The incident took place at around 5am on Friday 17 January 2025. A taxi driver picked up two female passengers from Bournemouth town centre and took them to the Moordown area.
Upon arrival, the passengers requested to continue their journey to Andover. The driver asked for payment up front, but the women refused and ran off.
When the driver confronted them, they allegedly assaulted him and shouted abuse. He did not suffer any serious injuries.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward. Those who recognise the individuals in the images are asked to contact officers as soon as possible.
Police Community Support Investigator Craig Evans, of Bournemouth police, said: “We have been continuing to investigate this incident and are now in a position to issue images of two women we would like to identify.
“I would ask anyone who recognises them to please come forward.”
