Police seek help identifying man following assault and damage to taxi during St Albans altercation
Hertfordshire Police have released an image of a man they are keen to identify in connection with an altercation in St Albans.
The incident took place on Beaconsfield Road between 11.20pm and 11.28pm on Saturday 30 November. According to reports, a passenger, described as intoxicated, became involved in a dispute with a taxi driver.
The confrontation escalated, resulting in the driver being assaulted and damage caused to the vehicle.
While the driver fortunately sustained no injuries, the situation intensified when the man reportedly exited the taxi, approached the vehicle, and struck its window, causing further damage to the window frame.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Hertfordshire Police.
PC Ryan Coyle said “We are hoping that someone will recognise this man. We would like to speak to him, as we believe he was in the area at the time and can help our investigation.”
