Police intercept taxi driving the wrong way along A-road

Police officers have managed to intercept a taxi which was driving the wrong way along an A-road just on the outskirts of central London before "a serious collision" occurred.
The silver Mercedes Vito taxi was travelling the wrong way along the A13, Ferry Lane, when officers from Metropolitan Police Havering spotted it.
They quickly stopped the vehicle and reported the driver for the incident. Officers also confirmed that the driver was reported to Transport for London Taxi and Private Hire Licensing.
Taking to social media to highlight the incident, a spokesperson for the police said: "Officers from EastCVU were patrolling the A13 MPSHavering when they were at Ferry Lane & met with this taxi driving the wrong way onto the carriageway.
"Vehicle swiftly stopped before a serious collision, turned around, driver reported & TfLTPH report made."
