Police appeal for information after man breaks nose of taxi driver in Stoke-on-Trent



Staffordshire Police have launched an investigation following an assault on a taxi driver in Stoke-on-Trent which left the victim with a broken nose.


The incident took place at approximately 12:45pm on Sunday 11 August, on Etruria Vale Road, Etruria.

The victim, who was driving a Toyota Avensis, was punched in the face by one of the passengers. The attack left the driver with a suspected broken nose, necessitating hospital treatment.


At the time of the assault, there were two men in the taxi. Following the attack, both suspects exited the vehicle and walked away from the scene along Etruria Vale Road.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage from the area to come forward. Information can be provided by calling 101, quoting incident number 422 of 11 August, or by messaging via the Live Chat feature on the Staffordshire Police website.
