Pedestrian walking dog hit by black taxi in Herne Bay dies



Kent Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision on the A2990, Old Thanet Way, involving a black taxi and a pedestrian walking a dog.


The incident occurred at around 8:30pm on Friday, 6th September, between the Chestfield and Greenhill roundabouts.

Emergency services responded, but a woman in her 60s and her dog were sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The woman’s family has been informed.


Specialist investigators are now examining the circumstances surrounding the crash and are urging anyone with information, including dashcam or CCTV footage, to come forward.
