Nextbase unveils the 385GW and 385GWX dashcams at CES 2025

Nextbase has unveiled its latest dashcam innovations, the 385GW and 385GWX, at CES 2025. Building on the success of the 380GW, which is already used by major automotive brands such as Toyota, Lexus, and VW, the new models are designed specifically for the needs of vehicle manufacturers and the wider automotive industry.
The new dashcams introduce a compact design aimed at seamless integration with modern vehicles. These models incorporate a range of industry-first features, enhancing both safety and connectivity for drivers and automotive partners.
Among the features is the updated Guardian Mode Lite, designed to monitor vehicle usage and provide GPS-marked, timestamped video clips when specific events occur. Users can access this footage via a new integrated app, offering advanced control over vehicle monitoring.
Witness Mode Lite also debuts, using voice activation to notify emergency contacts in the event of an accident, provided Bluetooth is enabled. Additionally, Smart Parking ensures any impact on a parked vehicle triggers automatic recording, with instant alerts sent to the driver when they return to range.
The 385GW model is priced at £349 and includes a 2K front-facing camera offering 1440p resolution. For £449, the 385GWX adds a 1080p rear camera for dual-view recording, allowing comprehensive coverage of the road ahead and behind.
