Liverpool City Council announced the introduction of a new taxi rank on Royal Street, conveniently leading onto Walton Road. This addition aims to streamline transportation for attendees of major events in the city.
The new rank has served the influx of fans attending Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concerts at Anfield Stadium. The global superstar's tour dates in Liverpool recently begun and run for three nights through to Saturday 15 June 2024.
The taxi rank is also set to accommodate future events, including concerts and football matches, ensuring smooth travel for all attendees. Licensing officers will be present on-site to assist those seeking taxi services.
This initiative is part of Liverpool's ongoing efforts to enhance public transport infrastructure and improve accessibility for event-goers.
A Liverpool City Council Licensing spokesperson said: “Please remember that a new taxi rank has been introduced on Royal Street, leading onto Walton Rd. The new facility will service the Taylor Swift Concerts as well as future concerts and football matches. Licensing Officers will be there later on to assist people wanting taxis.”
