Minicab vehicle seized by London police after driver found to have no insurance

A private hire vehicle was seized by police officers in London last night after the driver was found to be driving without valid insurance.

The silver Toyota Prius was one of ‘many’ vehicles stopped by the Met Police as part of its ongoing ‘Cabs Unit’ campaign.

The minicab driver has now been reported and the vehicle seized due to a lack of insurance.

Metropolitan Police Roads and Transport Policing Command said via social media: “One of many vehicles stopped tonight by #cabsunit.

“This PHV in Camden had no insurance. The driver was reported and vehicle seized.”
