March town centre welcomes new taxi rank

March town centre has welcomed a new taxi rank.

The four-space rank, located outside the Coachmakers Arms in Station Road, opened on Thursday 20 April as part of the town centre's ongoing regeneration plans.

A total of 6 new taxi bays will be created in town as part of the works, with the other two bays being installed on Grays Lane, opposite the Riverside, in due course.

The existing bays opposite Holland and Barratt in Broad Street will also re-open once the town centre improvements are completed.

The additional taxi bays will make it easier for residents and visitors to access a taxi to travel in and around town, and help to reduce waiting times.
