Man rips off mirror and hits taxi driver after taxi fare in Milton Keynes

Thames Valley Police have taken the step of releasing a CCTV image of a man after a violent taxi fare dispute in Milton Keynes.


The altercation, occurring in the early hours of 5 November 2023, around 3.20am, stemmed from a disagreement over a taxi fare on Midsummer Boulevard. The suspect is reported to have forcefully leaned into the front of the vehicle, removed the rearview mirror, and subsequently punched the victim on the left side of his face.

As a result of the attack, the victim required hospital treatment for the injuries sustained, highlighting the severity of the incident.


Investigating officer PC Steve Cooper, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “We would like to appeal to anyone who recognises the man in this image to please get in touch as he may have vital information about the assault.

“Alternatively, for 100% anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
