Man charged after fatal crash claims life of beloved Welsh taxi driver
A 30-year-old man has been charged following a fatal collision that claimed the life of a much loved taxi driver near Tenby.
Christopher Boyle, known to his friends as "Mucker", died in a crash involving two vehicles on the A4139 between Tenby and Penally on Monday 2 September 2024.
Mateusz Sikorski, from the local area, appeared at Llanelli Magistrates' Court on 5 September charged with causing death by dangerous driving. Sikorski has been remanded in custody and will appear at Swansea Crown Court on 7 October.
Boyle’s family paid tribute to him, describing him as a much-loved son, father, and friend who was deeply involved in the community and always willing to lend a hand. His family said: “Chris was a much loved son, dad, brother, uncle and friend. Known as ‘Mucker’ to his friends, he was very involved in the community and would do anything to help anyone.”
Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the collision and are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information is urged to contact Dyfed-Powys Police.
