Major SW1 London traffic disruptions expected as essential gas works begin lasting until mid-October

Transport for London (TfL) has announced significant traffic disruptions due to essential gas main replacement works by Cadent Gas.

The work will affect Grosvenor Road and Lupus Street, starting from Monday 29 July, and is expected to last until mid-October.

From the onset, Grosvenor Road will be closed to eastbound traffic between Royal Hospital Road and Lupus Street. Motorists are advised to use the diversion route via Chelsea Bridge Road. Lupus Street will also be closed for the entire duration of the project.

Drivers should anticipate delays on all approaches to Grosvenor Road, particularly during peak travel hours. Increased congestion is also expected on local roads as drivers seek alternative routes.

TfL are advising travellers to plan their journeys in advance, allow extra travel time, and check for updates before setting out.
