Liverpool City Council's Licensing officials took decisive action against a private hire vehicle (PHV) driver for using magnets to affix the vehicle's licensing plate.
The driver was reported for the issue. The vehicle must have its plate fixed properly to the licensed PHV before it can operate again.
This incident serves as a pointed reminder to all vehicle owners and operators within the city about the importance of adhering to established legal standards for vehicle registration and equipment.
A Liverpool City Council Licensing spokesperson said: “Officers dealt with driver of this vehicle tonight due to plate being affixed by magnets, which is a big no no! Driver will be reported for offence and issued a notice to rectify the plate being affixed legally!"
