London pedicab driver accused of stealing woman’s bag and bank card following fare dispute
Police in Kensington are appealing for witnesses following a street robbery.
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at around 03:00hrs on Sunday, 20 March to reports of a robbery on Cromwell Road, SW7.
At the scene it was established that a 22-year-old woman's handbag and bank card had been stolen.
The victim and her friend had taken a pedi-cab, but when they arrived at their destination there was a dispute concerning the amount being charged for the journey.
The driver of the pedi-cab is alleged to have fled with the victim’s handbag when she disputed the fare being charged.
The victim, and her female friend, were not injured during the incident.
There have been no arrests. Enquiries continue.
