Liverpool Licensing Officers, in collaboration with the local Police, conducted compliance inspections at Manchester Airport today.

The joint operation focused on ensuring both hackney carriage taxis and private hire vehicles (PHVs) met regulatory standards.

Officers were stationed on Ringway Road, where they checked various vehicles for compliance.

A Liverpool City Council Licensing spokesperson confirmed the operation's intent to maintain high standards for licensed taxi and PHV services.

The initiative reflects ongoing efforts to ensure passenger safety and adherence to licensing regulations both in and outside of its licensing area.

A council spokesperson said: “Liverpool Licensing Officers have attended Manchester Airport today as part of a joint authority operation with the Police conducting compliance inspections of licensed vehicles.”
