Renowned purpose built taxi manufacturer LEVC has unveiled its latest breakthrough in the electric vehicle (EV) industry - the L380.

The innovative model marks LEVC's transition from a taxi manufacturer to a pioneer in e-mobility solutions.

The L380 is the first vehicle in LEVC's new range of fully electric models, powered by Geely Holding Group's Space Oriented Architecture (SOA). This state-of-the-art EV platform, introduced earlier this year, offers advancements in range, efficiency, safety, charging time, durability, and connectivity.

Having more than a century of mobility expertise, LEVC has always focused on providing efficient transportation solutions for urban areas. Each vehicle is purpose-built, designed to meet society's evolving needs.

With the introduction of the L380, LEVC takes its unrivaled heritage to new heights, venturing into uncharted territories in the market. This model offers a smart, green, safe, and accessible form of mobility. It sets a new standard for interior flexibility, featuring various seating configurations that can accommodate six or eight passengers.

Initially set to launch in China in 2024, the L380 model will subsequently become available in additional markets. Further details, including technical specifications, are expected to be announced next year.

Alex Nan, CEO of LEVC, said: “LEVC’s strategy is to become a leading zero-carbon mobility technology company and our new direction will see us grow beyond manufacturing the world’s most advanced taxi, the TX, and deliver smart, green, safe, and accessible mobility solutions to all.

“Building on our unrivalled heritage in producing the iconic London black cab, we have adapted our business to meet the rapidly accelerating demand for spacious, flexible electric vehicles. The L380 Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) debuts today and ushers in not one but two firsts for LEVC: it is our first model to be based on advanced, flexible Space Oriented Architecture (SOA) technology – and it also launches LEVC into an entirely new sector.

“Setting new standards for occupant-focused interior space, L380 raises the bar for large luxury fully electric MPVs. The first of a new range of models, it is inspired by our rich history, combined with the resources of the Geely organisation, setting us on an exciting new path, bringing advanced zero-emission transportation to more customers than ever before.”
