KICKED, PUNCHED AND ROBBED: Appeal launched following attack on taxi driver in Birmingham

West Midlands Police have launched an appeal today, urging anyone who may recognise two women to come forward with information relating to a taxi driver assault.
According to a statement released by a West Midlands Police spokesperson, the incident took place just before 6.30am 4 September in Clive Passage, Newtown. The victim, a taxi driver, was allegedly attacked, suffering punches and kicks from his assailants. In addition to the physical assault, the victim was also robbed of their phone.

Detectives are appealing to anyone who may possess information regarding the incident to come forward.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said via social media: “Do you recognise these women? We still need to speak to them as part of our enquiries into a taxi driver assault in Birmingham.
“It happened on Clive Passage, Newtown just before 6.30am on 4 September. The victim was punched and kicked and his phone was stolen.
