JAW BROKEN: Police appeal for help after three men attacked while entering a taxi in Portsmouth



Police in Portsmouth are appealing for witnesses after a disturbing incident where three men were assaulted while attempting to enter a taxi.


The victims, all in their twenties, were targeted by a separate group of men in the vicinity. The attack resulted in severe injuries, including a fractured jaw suffered by a 28-year-old man.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “We’re appealing for witnesses after three men were assaulted on Isambard Brunel Road shortly after 4:45am on Saturday 5 August.


“The men aged in their twenties were assaulted as they were getting into a taxi by another group of men who were in the area. One of the three, a 28 year-old man was left with a fractured jaw.

“The group of four men who had assaulted the victims headed towards Charles Dickens Street when they left. They were described as aged in their late teens or early twenties. Three of them were wearing hooded tops with the hoods up, the fourth man was described as mixed race and had black curly hair and a short dark beard. He was wearing a black short-sleeved t-shirt.
