"Illegal unregistered taxi" with uninsured driver seized by police in Warwickshire
Officers from Warwickshire's Law Enforcement Agency have seized a vehicle which was being illegally operated as a taxi.
The Toyota Minibus "taxi" was stopped by officers on Tuesday 6 July. Roadside checks revealed the driver was not named on the insurance policy.
Further checks revealed that the vehicle was not licensed to be used as a taxi.
A spokesperson for OPU Warwickshire, said: "When is a minibus taxi not a taxi? When it is an illegal unregistered taxi.
"The driver was not even named on the policy. Vehicle seized driver reported."
