Humberside Police investigate vicious attack on father and son beaten while waiting for taxi

Updated: Jan 8, 2020

Humberside Police are trying to identify a man in connection with an alleged incident on Newland Avenue in Hull during which a father and son were assaulted. It happened around 1.40am on Sunday 8 December 2019 at the junction of Lambert Street while the victims waited for a taxi.

A man approached the pair and assaulted the father who fell to the floor. He sustained a head injury and cuts which later needed hospital treatment.

It's believed the man then went on to further assault the son.

Officers from Hull CID have extensively reviewed CCTV footage in the surrounding area, and are now able to release this image of an individual they would like to trace in connection with the incident. The force are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anything that night, or who might have any information to contact them. Please quote reference 16/133164/19.
