FARE DISPUTE: Police release CCTV image after taxi driver assaulted in Doncaster

South Yorkshire Police have released a CCTV image in connection with an alleged incident of racial abuse and assault on a taxi driver.
The incident took place on Monday 6 May at 3.15am. A group of people were picked up by a taxi driver in Leeds and travelled to Balby, Doncaster. Upon arrival in Balby, a dispute reportedly arose over the taxi fare.
During the dispute, a passenger allegedly racially abused the driver, then reportedly assaulted him and kicked his car. Following the incident, officers have been conducting enquiries and now seek public assistance.
The man in the CCTV image is described as white, slim build with brown hair, approximately 5ft 8in tall, and believed to be between 18 and 25 years old.
