Electric taxi manufacturers LEVC expand dealer network in Central Germany
Electric taxi manufacturers LEVC (London Electric Vehicle Company) has increased its presence in Germany, announcing the addition of a new dealer in Bavaria.
Autohaus Faber will offer sales and after sales support from the city of Schweinfurt, covering the Lower Franconia region.
The addition of Autohaus Faber GmbH – with its three sites in Schweinfurt, Würzburg and Bamberg – will provide customers in the region full sales and after sales support for LEVC’s TX shuttle, based on the iconic London black taxi and, from Spring 2021, the company’s new electric van, VN5. Following the appointment of Hetzler Automobile Vertriebs at the start of this year, LEVC now has nine full sales sites in Germany, and three after sales centres.
Joerg Hofmann, LEVC CEO, commented: “Demand for zero emissions capable vehicles and public transport services continues to grow across Europe and this appointment increases our presence in Germany now to 15 locations. Germany is a hugely important market for LEVC and we are pleased to welcome Autohaus Faber to our dealer network; a business with an e-mobility vision which is closely aligned with our own.”
Customers in Germany can take advantage of a number of government subsidies intended to accelerate the uptake of electric vehicles. The Government office, Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA), outlines cost-savings for drivers, with potential electric vehicle customers eligible to apply for subsidies to use against the purchase price of LEVC models including the TX and VN5 electric van.
Florian Faber, Managing Director of Autohaus Faber, said: “Our dealership has always taken pride in delivering the newest and most innovative mobility solutions to customers, so the addition of LEVC to our brand portfolio is a natural fit. The TX electric taxi and VN5 electric van cover both ends of the scale for our customer base, and we expect both models to be very popular here. We know that our customers seek technologically advanced vehicles, and LEVC’s product portfolio is cutting edge with a wide variety of potential applications.”
Martin Rada, Managing Director for EU operations, said: “I am pleased to welcome Autohaus Faber on board at this crucial time for LEVC, as we grow our TX shuttle business and introduce our new electric van, VN5, to new businesses and public transport operators. I look forward to working closely with the Autohaus Faber team to support the growth of the LEVC brand in the Bavarian region.”
