Taxi and private hire tax accounting experts, Eazitax, have launched their much-anticipated mobile app for the Apple App Store and Android Play Store.

The new app allows users to signup for the Eazitax service, view account information and contact the expert tax team in minutes.

A key part in developing the application was the new ‘Conditionality’ regulation that came into force in April 2022. Conditionality is a tax check that needs to be carried out when a driver applies to renew their taxi or private hire licence. This check is carried out by drivers online via their HMRC account.

Gary Jacobs, CEO at Eazitax, said: “The app is not a replacement for our traditional tax and accounting service as we believe having an accountant on the end of the telephone is imperative and is why hundreds of drivers recommend our services every year. This app will mean clients can view important information regarding their taxes or chat to us.

“We have found that drivers using tax software that automate the process of submitting tax returns has serious issues, especially if the driver hasn’t been set up correctly in previous years, there is the possibility of huge fines by HMRC. Our new app will ensure a real human is checking everyone’s tax position and provide a helping hand when it is needed most. The timing is perfect with the new conditionality tax law, we are here to help the industry in this transition to compliance. ” The app is available to download now on the Apple and Android app stores by searching for ‘Eazitax’.
