Driver of red Uber car being sought as potential witness to serious collision with pedestrian
Warwickshire Police are appealing for information following a road traffic collision on Coventry Road, Exhall, last Friday evening on 29 November. Officers are particularly keen to speak with the driver of a red Uber vehicle believed to have been in the area at the time.
The incident occurred at approximately 8.30pm when a blue Hyundai car struck a male pedestrian in his 40s. Emergency services, including police, ambulance, and fire crews, attended the scene. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries requiring hospital treatment.
Preliminary investigations suggest a red Uber vehicle stopped near the pedestrian shortly before the collision but left the scene before emergency services arrived.
Police are also asking for anyone with information or footage of a man in dark clothing, carrying a white plastic bag, walking along Coventry Road towards Bedworth from Exhall to come forward.
Anyone who can assist the investigation is urged to contact Warwickshire Police via their online reporting tool at www.warwickshire.police.uk/report, or by calling 101 and quoting Incident 377 of 29 November. Alternatively, reports can be made anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
