Driver arrested after throwing cash from car window during high-speed police pursuit

West Midlands Police officers arrested a driver in Oldbury after a high-speed pursuit ended with cash being thrown from a moving vehicle.
The incident unfolded when Road Crime Team officers spotted the car and attempted to stop it. The driver failed to comply, leading to a chase through the area.
During the pursuit, the suspect threw a significant amount of cash from the window before eventually stopping. Officers later recovered a discarded mobile phone and a quantity of drugs.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of drug dealing. Police released images showing banknotes scattered in the air during the chase, along with a photo of the suspect’s arrest.
A West Midlands Police traffic spokesperson said: “Road Crime Team officers saw this car in Oldbury before it made off and was pursued.
“The driver threw a large amount of cash from the window during the pursuit before stopping and being arrested.
“We recovered a discarded mobile and a quantity of drugs so he was arrested for dealing.”
