West Yorkshire Police are appealing for a taxi driver to come forward as a key witness in an attempted kidnapping case in Shipley. Detectives believe the driver could provide crucial information.

The incident occurred on Nab Lane, Shipley, at around 8pm on Thursday, 12 September. The occupants of two vehicles, a black car and a red car, were reportedly involved. A taxi was seen passing the scene at the time, and investigators are eager to trace the driver.

The police urge the driver, or anyone with information, to contact Bradford District Adult Safeguarding Unit. Witnesses can reach out through the Live Chat service or by calling 101, referencing crime number 13240498459.

Luke Stephenson, 34, from Skipton, has been arrested and charged with attempted kidnapping and false imprisonment with intent to commit a sexual offence.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Bradford Magistrates' Court on Monday 16 September.
