Detectives appeal for information after taxi driver shot by two masked men in West Belfast

Detectives are investigating a shooting in the Bell Steel Manor area of Belfast’s Dunmurry and are appealing for witnesses.
The incident took place on Sunday morning 23 February. At around 10.30am, two masked men approached a parked taxi and opened fire, striking the driver.
Detective Chief Inspector Miller confirmed that the victim was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward as enquiries continue.
Detective Chief Inspector Miller added: “Our investigation is at a very early stage and we urge anyone who was in the area at the time, and who may have information, dash-cam, CCTV or doorbell footage which could assist with our enquiries, to get in touch on 101, quoting reference number 664- 23/02/25.
