Curb unveils new platform for North American taxi market to boost driver earnings and fleet efficiency
Curb, a leading app for licensed taxis and ride-hailing in North America, has introduced a new solution aimed at optimising fleet operations. The new platform, Curb Optima, is powered by Autofleet, a top-tier fleet optimisation system, and aims to improve drivers' earnings while increasing vehicle mileage efficiency.
The healthcare transport sector, which is projected to surpass $136.86 billion globally, relies heavily on consistent and dependable transport services. Curb seeks to meet these demands by providing real-time tracking, billing simplifications, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA. By doing so, Curb addresses several key issues faced by healthcare providers, brokers, and patients.
Autofleet’s AI-driven platform allows for more efficient route planning and operational workflows. It dynamically updates routes in real-time to adapt to changes in traffic, vehicle requirements, and ride cancellations. This ensures a more efficient service, helping taxi and mobility operators reduce idle time and boost daily ride completions.
The platform integrates with Curb’s Way2Cloud dispatch system and Dash+ interface, offering drivers a clear view of upcoming routes. Autofleet's smart planning system takes into account traffic predictions and other factors to continuously refine scheduling and routing.
Curb’s wider strategy also includes the growth of Curb Flow, a unique API designed to bring together ride demand from multiple sources, further enhancing driver earnings. The launch of Curb Optima underlines the company’s commitment to improving transportation efficiency through advanced technology.
Seth Hochhauser, VP Strategy at Autofleet, said: “Our partnership with Curb brings together two leaders in the transportation space to address the unique challenges facing taxi and NEMT providers. “This joint offering delivers advanced scalable routing technology to all Curb fleet partners. Addressing the complex needs of new and existing Taxi and NEMT customers by optimizing the use of their existing taxi supply with the cutting edge innovation needed for advanced services."
Vishal Dhawan, CTO of Curb, said: “Curb Optima represents a strategic evolution in how we empower both taxi fleets and NEMT providers to meet modern transportation demands.
“By integrating cutting-edge routing technology with our proven platform, we’re greatly improving fleet efficiency and reinforcing our role as an industry leader in driver-first solutions.”
