Crazy motorway manoeuvre caught on camera lands driver with 17 month ban 

A dangerous driving manoeuvre captured by a police vehicle, has landed the man behind the wheel a seventeen month ban from the roads.


In the shocking dashcam footage recorded by Sgt Dan Pascoe, the driver of the Ford Focus can be seen suddenly stopping in the middle lane to avoid missing his junction.

The incident occurred on the M25, junction of the M4, Heathrow turn off, two days before Christmas.

Posting to Twitter, Sgt Dan Pascoe of Surrey's Roads Policing Unit, wrote: "A brief video of the drunk driver who decided to stop in the middle of the M25 last night. He refused to provide any breath sample so was charged this morning."

Surrey RPU have since issued an update on the case after it had appeared at court. The driver was charged with failing to provide a specimen of breath, blood or urine, and having no licence or insurance.


The RPU says he has been disqualified from driving for 17 months and put on a 12-month community order with 100 hours of unpaid work.


He was told to pay £175 in costs, surcharge and fines.
