Colchester joins BP Chargemaster’s growing network of 150kW chargers

BP Chargemaster continues the nationwide roll out of 150kW ultra-fast charging units with eight units installed across three sites.

The new site at BP Colchester is the first of many sites to be launched outside of the City of London, with more units set to be launched over the coming months. Based along the A12 motorway, the new site will offer a convenient charging location for electric vehicle drivers with a comfortable ‘recharge zone’ based inside.

BP Chargemaster’s latest generation of ultra-fast charging units were introduced earlier this year, with the first site being installed and launched in August at BP Cranford and followed by London’s first 150kW charging hub at BP Hammersmith in early October.

The aim of the roll out is to offer reliable ultra-fast charging to drivers across the country as the uptake of electric vehicles continues to grow in the UK as manufacturers introduce more and more next generation EVs on to the market.

The latest ultra-fast charging site can be found at BP Colchester, Cuckoo Farm Way, Mile End, CO4 5XY, and is currently available on free vend as a limited introductory offer.
