CMAC Group joins forces with ComfortDelGro in strategic acquisition

CMAC Group (CMAC) has announced its acquisition by one of the world’s largest land transport companies, ComfortDelGro Corporation, through its wholly-owned subsidiary CityFleet Networks.

The strategic acquisition marks a pivotal step for both entities, heralding a new era of mobility solutions across the globe.

CMAC, with its extensive operations spanning the UK, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece, and The Netherlands, has carved a niche in managing journeys for nearly three million travellers annually. Catering to a diverse clientele including airlines, ground handlers, train operators, corporations, and consumers, CMAC, through its Suntransfers brand, offers private and shared-ride transfers to over 500 airports, stations, and ports worldwide.

By integrating CMAC into its fold, ComfortDelGro not only enhances its service offerings but also significantly extends its global presence to 12 countries. In the UK, ComfortDelGro has established a robust mobility network, owning and operating taxis and private hire vehicles via CityFleet Networks in key cities like Aberdeen and Liverpool, as well as managing Metroline buses and Westbus coaches in London, among other operations.

Significantly, CMAC will retain its operational independence post-acquisition, with its current senior team, led by CEO Peter Slater, continuing at the helm.
