Two of Greater Manchester’s largest private hire operators, Club Cars and Passenger Cars, have officially rebranded as Veezu. The change marks the next phase of Veezu’s expansion across the North West, building on services already established in Wigan and Bolton.
Following Veezu’s acquisition of Club Cars in November 2024 and Passenger Cars in January 2025, the operator has built a fleet of nearly 500 vehicles in Greater Manchester. This places Veezu among the largest private hire fleets in the region.
Veezu says it is focused on using the latest technology to improve the travel experience for both passengers and driver-partners. The company’s investment in digital booking tools and real-time ride tracking aims to deliver more connected and consistent services for communities across Manchester.
The rebrand also brings a greener future for the city. New zero-emission capable vehicles are being introduced to the Veezu fleet in Manchester, supporting the Mayor of Greater Manchester’s Clean Air Plan. The move supports the region’s goal to achieve carbon neutrality by 2038.
Veezu, the UK’s largest private hire business, operates 24/7 in over 50 towns and cities and partners with more than 16,000 self-employed driver-partners. The Manchester rebrand forms part of its wider plans to modernise private hire services across the country.
Nathan Bowles, Veezu CEO, said: “Manchester’s Club Cars and Passenger Cars have built strong, trusted reputations by delivering exceptional local service. As we bring both brands together under the Veezu name, we’re not only introducing improved technology and a greener fleet – we’re strengthening our role as a key part of Greater Manchester’s transport network and are proud to support the region’s ambition for a more connected future.
“Manchester is moving further and faster than any other region in the country when it comes to electrifying its transport networks, and we’re proud to be part of that journey. By continuing to invest in a greener fleet, we’re not only supporting the city’s bold sustainability goals, but also helping to improve air quality for everyone who lives and works here.”
