CCTV RELEASED: Man allegedly obstructing taxi driver’s breathing by pulling and holding hood sought by police

North Yorkshire Police are seeking information following an incident involving the assault of a taxi driver in the Bradley area of Skipton. The incident occurred at approximately 9.30pm on Monday 23 December 2024.


According to police reports, the assault involved a man pulling and holding onto the taxi driver’s hood, which obstructed the driver’s breathing. Authorities are urging members of the public to assist in identifying the suspect.

The individual is described as a white British man, bald, approximately 40 years old, standing around 6ft tall with an average build.
