‘BILKER’ WANTED: Police appeal for information after passenger fails to pay York taxi fare

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information after a man failed to pay a taxi fare from York Train Station.


The incident happened on 28 December 2019 between 8am–9am when a male took a taxi from the station. He travelled to Selby in the taxi, before returning to Riccall Business Park in York. He then left the taxi without paying his fare.

Officers are asking members of the public to get in touch if they recognise the man in the image as they believe he will have information that could help the investigation.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Paul Orange or email paul.orange@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk.
