ARRESTED: Taxi driver assault in Huyton leads to serious charges



Merseyside Police have charged a 28-year-old man with grievous bodily harm following an assault on a taxi driver in Huyton.


The incident occurred on Saturday 31 August, at approximately 10.10 pm on Primrose Drive. It was reported that the suspect, Jordan Dunn, punched a taxi driver in his 50s, causing significant injuries to the victim’s face. The driver remains in hospital as he recovers.

Following the attack, officers quickly attended the scene and arrested Dunn on suspicion of Section 18 assault. Dunn has now been officially charged with grievous bodily harm.


Dunn appeared at Sefton Adult Reman Court on Sunday 1 September, where he was remanded into custody.

His next court hearing is scheduled for Saturday 7 September.


The investigation remains ongoing.
